My name is Kristina Marie Dorner of the south Biloxi Dorners. I was born in the fall of 1840 on the Dixie Belladonna Plantation, it was September 30th as a matter of fact. Which means my 19th birthday is right around the corner. My mother and father too were born and raised right here in Biloxi. Each brought into this world with a purpose. My father to manage my grandfather’s plantation, store, and mill. And my mother to raise a family in good standing. Everyone knew who we were and everyone knew that I was going to marry my beau, Bobby Curtis Ripple. He is destined to one day take over his father’s plantation. Then I will take my place as his bride, the mother to his children, and mistress to his estate. It’s what I was born and raised to do. My mother and I are very close but I am my father’s first born and he did slightly spoil me when I was little. Truth be told I was their only child for a few years until my brother came along and joined my party. But it didn’t change much because I’m still the oldest and the one in charge round here.

My little sister and brother, now I call them little but I am just a piece older than they are. They are both being groomed to move out into this big and crazy world the same as I am. Now my brother he will become the head of this family and will bring his best girl, Chantel Ronda James, in as his wife. But my little sister Molly Barbara will have to marry the first man who proposes to her, the poor darling. She my dears is in danger of becoming an old maid. Which is as bad as being a whole criminal to the heart of your family. She if not married will become the burden of my brother and even his friends don’t find her attractive enough to find out what lies in her dowry.
