Administrative Issue of Confidentiality

The administrative issue of confidentiality and privacy is a concern today. Patient information should be kept confidential among organizations and staff members. There are many administrative issues that can arise from confidentiality and privacy. Some of them are individual rights to privacy and the rights of patients and staff to know when a professional standard has been breach in the organization. When issue like this arises the administrator has to determine a course of action to take to resolve these types of problem.

Administrative issues in confidentiality and privacy have to be look at more carefully because medical information and personal information of individual have to stay among the organization where the patient or individual is beening treated or working. Another concern of administrative issue is third parties and the growth of information systems in decision-making of patient privacy has brought up new issues regarding confidentiality and the release of sensitive information for health care professional in position of public trust. The paper would provide details on the issue and the impact it has on health care staff. The arguments that was used to support the proposed solution and ethical and legal issue. The paper will also discuss the manager responsibilities to the administrative issue and the solution for the issues.

Issue and Impact

The issues and impact that confidentiality and privacy have on organizations have been hard because health care staff have a hard time figuring out what information can be release and what information he or she cannot release. The other issue that faces nursing administrators is providing quality care with limited resources.
