Chevrolet or Ford

The age old question, which is a better all around truck, Chevy or Ford.? It's crazy how some people can be so one sided when it come to a brand of vehicle but it also makes an interesting subject to compare. The Ford F-150 vs The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 both are half ton trucks, this means they can haul in the bed or on a trailer half of one ton. An average daily driver truck that gets decent gas mileage but still offers carrying capacity. Which one though is a “better” truck? Well first we have to consider everything that makes a truck “better” than the next. Performance, and reliability of these two trucks will be compared to see which comes out on top.

As a truck owner you will probably put the truck to the test, so it needs to be reliable and stand up to the stress. The F-150 is an all aluminum body. What does this mean? Well sure its light weight but it probably wouldn’t do well if something were to hit or come in to contact with the body. The Chevy is an all steel body like they have been using for years. This is a very strong sheet metal that can withstand normal bumps and scratches ("New Silverado Expected to Beat Out Ford F-150”).
