Costco’s aim and objective is to assist people save money so they can live better (Costco stores 2010). This is what Sam Walton wanted from the beginning and this is something that has continued even as they have gone international. Costco went international in 1992. Currently Costco is present in 14 countries outside of the United States. Costco’s objective is to help all people in the world live better lives and this is something that they will continue to do and expanding into other countries will help them do just that.
In order to decide what kind of presence Costco will make in Kava, I had to look at all the information that I could find on Kava. Kava in my opinion was a struggling country that needed some help in order to be able to become a country that could become a country that would attract immigrants. This country is in daring need of avenue to get the people working so that people can pay taxes giving the country revenue in order to rebuild its country. My first impression of Kava was that they were prone to disaster quite often, but was informed that it was by several disasters. These disasters came from weather, the earth, sickness, and terrorism. I had to first come up with a plan whereby Costco could be of great help without jeopardizing the interest of the investors.
My first plan was to study all the information I had obtained about the country of Kava and to make sure that they were all facts. Then I needed to look at what the presence of Costco in Kava would mean to Costco. I had to look at the impact the presence or no presence in Kava would impact the stakeholders in Costco.
