Race to Stop the Wedding Scene

1 | Extreme long shot and Close up | Eye level | Ben’s car is driving down the road. The sound of a guitar is mimicking the sound of the car’s engine. The car slows and runs out of gas on side of the road. Ben tries to restart the car, then without hesitation opens the door and starts running down the street. The camera stays on Ben as he runs and keeps looking back. |

2 | Extreme long shot and Medium shot | Eye level | Ben is running towards the camera. There is no music, just the sound of cars passing in the background. When Ben gets to medium shot he makes a sharp turn to the left of the screen. The camera turns as he runs towards the church. The Guitar starts to slowly strum. He runs to the front door, then to the stairs. |

3 | Medium close up and Close up | High angle | Ben runs up the stairs. He opens the door and enters the church. The door closes behind him. |

4 | Medium shot | Slight High | Ben runs up the stairs and runs to the left of the screen. The Guitar strums once as he throws his hands up against the glass wall. |

5 | Long shot and Close up | High angle | Camera zooms past Ben’s head, through the glass. We now see the wedding and Elaine and Carl are kissing at the altar. |

6 | Close up | Eye level | Close up on Ben’s face. He looks disappointed. He closes his eyes and looks down as the organ begins to play. |

7 | Extreme long shot | Low angle | Ben standing behind the glass wall. He is looking out with his hands pressed up against the glass. Mrs. Robinson can be seen at the right along with the rest of the congregation. |

8 | Medium shot | Slight high | Old lady sitting at the organ. She is playing the wedding music. |

9 | Close up | Eye level | Ben’s face. His eyes closed. He opens his eyes and stares for a moment and then screams for Elaine. He also starts to pound on the glass. |
