Abstract
This paper analyzes the competitive strategy of the Radisson BLU DDC hotel. The aim of this paper is to point out weaknesses within the competitive strategy and evaluate constraints of the analytical tools used. For the analysis part the author used the PESTEL, 5forces and SWOT analysis, furthermore he suggested the implementation through change management, of an Arabic restaurant, in order to work against the threats faced by the new government policy. Moreover the author of this paper pointed out limitations when designing a strategy rationally and suggested to craft the strategy according to Mintzberg’s (1987) principles. In addition the author concluded the opportunities taken by this particular hotel company, after analyzing which kind of opportunities have been created due to governmental changes and creation of new authorities concerning the environment and health and safety issues.
