The largest beverage company in the world is The Coca-Cola Company. The company markets four of the top five brands of the world which are Coca-Cola, the world’s best known brand, Diet Coke, Sprite, and Fanta. Juices, water, sports and energy drinks, teas and coffees are also part of their extensive portfolio. Coca-Cola’s managerial competencies have contributed to the enormity of their success, making Coke the global industry leader.

The Coca-Cola Company has an extensive network of communication so they may continuously stay in contact with their suppliers, customers, employees, etc. There are many conference calls and teleconferences that are conducted. For instance, Laredo Coca-Cola has been in teleconferences with other bottlers within the United States. It is amazing how everyone can be listening in to a meeting at the same time. Email, instant messaging, and face to face meetings are also conducted. Whether formal or informal, communication is of the up most importance for Coca-Cola. The company’s networks of communication are a vital component in conducting the day-to-day operations efficiently and effectively; and build a solid foundation for both employees and customers. Moreover, planning and administration involves information gathering, planning, time management and budgeting. For this section, we will discuss the distribution part of the business. The distribution manager receives all the orders and than makes sure that they have been properly dispatched. He then has to plan the routes for the drivers to deliver the product in a timely matter. Drivers are only allotted a certain period of time at each designated location. This therefore necessitates distribution manager to have exceptional time management skills.
