NCLEX BLUEPRINT-

1. In your words, describe what the NCLEX test blue print means to you related to your success in nursing school. Demonstrate your understanding of NCLEX and how is applies to your future success.

The NCLEX blueprint provides me with an outline of all the topics that will be seen on the exam. This will help guide out learning while in nursing school and focus us on what we need to know to be successful to pass the boards. It also helps us to be prepared on the exam and gives us insight on what is to be expected.

2. How do you plan to use the NCLEX blueprint (candidate version) throughout nursing school, along with your ATI studies? Complete a detailed description of how you will use NCLEX throughout school. Also, demonstrate your understanding of the relationship between ATI and NCLEX.

The blueprint is more of a guide for what is on the exam and you will be able to alter your study habits and focal points based on this rubric. While using both ATI and blueprint I can go through the modules and rubric to study and prepare for the NCLEX, while utilizing them to study in school as well. The relationship between ATI and the NCLEX is that they are both proctored assessments that help to determine your readiness and success in nursing. However, ATI is something that prepares us for the NCLEX.

3. The NCLEX test plan is structures around client needs. The framework of client needs was selected for the examination because it provides a universal structure for defining nursing actions and competencies, and focuses on clients in all settings. (NCSBN, 2013)

Client Needs is broken down into 4 categories. On the Chart Below:
