My Favorite time in history:

If I had a option to choose a time in history that I can live, that is when time and fashion sense was different I would choose the 1980’s. This was one of my favorite times in period because of the fashion worn during that time it was attractive. The look was a new romantic look and the makeup was more bold. One of the looks that became popular was the pirate look which I like with long sleeves and shirts were made of expensive fabric, and high-waisted baggy trousers. The fashion also is appealing because it was a fashion trend that stayed for a long time. Other clothing’s that became popular during this period would be leggings which are something I still like to wear, valley girl also came into style. The trend included leg warmers and miniskirts especially the ra-ra-skirts resembling the skirts that cheerleaders wear. Sweatshirts were also very much in style with their collars cut open . Designer jeans and leather in clothing also became style and lace accessories for women. Miniskirts I feel is something that is still in style girls and women enjoy wearing it. And miniskirts being worm with leggings is still a trend today for teenagers these are being purchased by girls in stores such as American Apparel . Other styles that became a part of fashion would be Power dressing which included shoulder pads which women wore to feel equal to men at work places. Dancewear also came into style which included leggings, legwarmers, ripped sweatshirts that exposed one shoulder. Miami Vice look which included colorful styles in men’s clothing, with casual shirts with expensive suit jackets. Later came the thriller look which was inspired by Michael Jackson’s record breaking album Thriller, people would try and replicate the look with red/black leather pants and jackets, one glove, sunglasses, and jheri curl.
