CHAPTER 1

Introduction

Don Bosco Institute of Arts and Sciences has conceived of an idea of establishing an educational institution that would educate and train students for industry based employment on a very affordable tuition and yet maintain high standard of instruction. This nucleus considered that the region is teeming with industries. The problem is they promote only their school through their banners and communication to the people. It’s hard for them to do it because it takes a lot of time to their work instead they can use their time to teach their students.

To solve their problems, the researchers proposed a website for the campus. They explained to them the benefits and to their (future) students. They create a website that will help the campus to solve their problem. It will also help to their students to easily access their site if ever they will need some information regarding to the campus. The site has some information about the school and how the students can access them. It is also a great help to the proponents to improve their capability to plan, design and formulate the site.

The purpose of this study is to provide and improve the information including the history of the campus, enrollment process, mission and vision and faculty and students profile of existing campus facilities of Don Bosco Institute of Arts and Sciences. Through website, it will be profitable for the people who will use this kind of website. Not only the faculties in the campus, but also the students who can easily get information through website. Thus this part of the study specifies the method of research used, research design, respondent of the study, data collection, description of the study, statistical treatment of the data and analysis of the gathered data.
