The film I chose to write my paper on is called “Crash.” The film follows a variety of different story lines that in the end show how every character affected one another in one way or another. The film follows a white District Attorney who uses race as a political advantage and his wife, who after being carjacked, by two black men, uses race to take out her anger and frustration on anyone who is not white. She also does not see her anger as racism because she believes herself to be justified in her anger. The lower ranking police officer hates his partner for his views but later shows that he subconsciously agrees. Crash also follows a black film director and his black wife.
