Orders

From day one on the bus at boot camp you are already ordered to get off the bus and stand on the yellow footprints. Orders are drilled in the heads of every recruit from the day they get off the bus until well they do not stop getting drilled in actually. Everyday military and civilian alike are giving and being given orders. The key is to be able to listen and follow the orders that you are given without complaining and without hesitation.

There are many reasons everybody needs to follow orders even the simplest of orders need to be followed. If people did not follow orders people would end up dead or injured, as well as respect, trust, and also things would never get completed if orders are not followed. The world works around orders so without them the world would not have progressed in such a way. Sometimes the orders that are given have a bigger picture than what you can see, sometimes the order is just to help you or for you to help the person giving the order.

Following orders could save your life and everybody’s lives around you and you may never know it until it is over and done with or too late. For example, you are in combat and you are told to halt because somebody sees something you do not and you do not halt that could get all of you killed. Listening to orders is what keeps people alive even if you don’t understand why you are given the order you should always follow them. People sometimes freeze up and if they cannot think clearly so if they just follow the orders that they are told in the heat of the moment then they would be able to get out alive and keep the person to the left and the right alive.

Respect is a two-way street; you must give respect to get respect. By not listening to orders and doing whatever you want you are clearly saying to that person you do not respect them.
