X INTRODUCTION
This topic provides useful information about the bases and foundations of individual behaviour and the values, and attitudes held by individuals. Discussing the biographical characteristics of human beings the impact of gender, marital status and tenure on individual behaviour is examined. The chapter also explains the concepts of ability, learning, and the values and attitudes held by individuals who may impact their job performance and satisfaction. Yet another important topic which is explained here is job satisfaction. Measuring job satisfaction and the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance is examined. Strategies on how employee can express dissatisfactions are also reviewed.
