I. Executive Summary

Our plan is to combat childhood obesity through an array of techniques using similar marketing skills as the former and inexistent, “DARE” program and former, “Scruff Mcgruff” programs. The program aims to help children from grades K-8 take part in healthy routines and exercise in their normal day through a huge marketing scheme tailored from the school grounds, through media, and advertising. Our program will offer sports leagues outside the official school’s leagues, gymnastics, dance, after school tutoring, mentoring from trained nutrition professional and life coaches; with a passion for kids, at all schools nationwide.

In the effort to minimize cost schools with larger school grounds can act as the program centers that will hold the programs events after school starting on Tuesdays through Fridays every week. For schools or districts with smaller school grounds at least one facility will be built to hold the programs events. Also to many minimize cost and promote jobs at the same time the school districts should be allowed use the school’s districts bus company to transport children to the centers. Our main expenses will allocate from trained professionals, renting of the facilities, and transportation if not provided through the district. Although, the program may become expensive it will produce jobs in the community from parents who may worry about their child can be target employees that can help chaperone events and help out the facility or program leaders.

Objectives:

1. Provide a care free, healthy, and educational environment for all kids consider overweight or not.

2. Find investors to invest in the program to make sure it remains nationwide.

3. Provide jobs for the struggling U.S. economy and communities nationwide.

4. Become a template for other countries that may be faced with the same problem.
