The Invisible Gorilla Response

Throughout the book the “Invisible Gorilla”, there were many different questions that arose when reading it. One of these question that came to me is “Do you think the world would be a better place if we were more aware and were able to see the little things that we miss” To me this question is important because the book explains that there are many experiences where people are unaware of the mistakes they made simply because of their attention. However, I do not think that increasing our awareness of our surrounding will decrease our mistakes. I also feel that it is important to realize that maybe these mistakes happen and only God knows about them. This leads me to my second question of “God is aware that we make mistake without our knowledge of ever knowing. Do you think he cares about it or does he expect us to build our awareness and work on it?” This question is important because in reality God knows all and if we are not working to make less mistake then it is could be considered as sin. Towards the end of the book the author says that what is best way to train your brain is not by doing cognitive exercises but instead doing aerobic exercises. Although they had some statistics to back this up I feel that doing solely aerobic exercises will not be enough for your brain. If you want to improve your brain, I believe that intuition, like the author says, is critical to understand because it tells us what we accept, believe, and do automatically.
