Human beings find many ways to comfort one another and more importantly to comfort oneself. Some of these ways may benefit others, but some may harm others. A person who finds comfort in him or herself by donating and assisting the poor has a positive effect on others. A person who finds reassurance of him or herself by being prejudice has a definite negative affect on others.

Prejudice is the effects of ignorance and the concealing of emotions that people hide from themselves. Prejudice absolutely makes people feel superior to others. One who discriminates another probably feels better about him or herself. A girl who is prejudice to another child by calling her ugly may act in this way in order to feel superior. Prejudice is a doorway to both comfort and harm; comfort for those who commit the sin, and harm for those who are the victims of prejudice.

Prejudging is an unfair act of prejudice. Prejudice makes one feel safe. Insulting a person because of his or her race, gender, orientation or ethnic background is both sinful and harmful. Although those who commit the sin feel a sense of security and comfort in their acts of prejudice, it is also harmful to him or her.

Prejudice can be used intentionally, or even subconsciously. One may be prejudice and at the same time have no idea what purpose they have for doing so. Yet, others may be prejudice and completely comprehend that their act of injustice is making them feel superior. With that said, both forms of prejudice still act as a doorway to superiority.
