The Walt Disney Company founded in 1923 is committed to delivering quality entertainment experiences for people of all ages. By 2006 Disney business portfolio consisted of four major segments which are studio entertainments, parks, resorts and consumer products .Disney opened its first park in California in 1995. After establishing two parks in USA Disney thought of going global by opening its first park out of USA in Tokyo. The Tokyo Park was developed with a cost of US $ 1.4 billion. The Tokyo Park was a huge success with more than 25 million visitors per anum and revenue’s of us $ 245 million in 2005 alone. Seeing the success of Tokyo Walt Disney decided to open a park but this time it was in Paris .The overall construction cost of this park was pushed to $5 billion. After the park was operationalised it did not report profits for quite long. Despite poor results of this parks Disney continued to make major expansions in the park. One of the main reasons of park not doing well in spite of so many efforts made by Disney was that French were resistant to Paris Disney because they considered it as American cultural imperialism. After some years, Walt Disney decided to set up one more park, in Hong Kong .The main reason of choosing Hong Kong as a location was to capture emerging Chinese market. Hong Kong also provided many other local attractions like the ocean park; the tourism of Hong Kong was also growing at a healthy pace. The Hong Kong Disney world was built with an approximate cost of $3.5 billion .T he honking park also had an rocky start with many issues and controversies surrounding it .some of the major issues faced by the park were that they were unable to control the influx, the rides at the park were limited meaning it was difficult to spend a day for a normal person in the park. There were long quos in the park for tickets and rides .So due to this the park also faced a lot of negative publicity. Soon the Hong Kong Disney also came up with responses...
