Vagina Monolog

This extra credit event was wonderful! I enjoyed the atmosphere in the room while they were presenting and the fact that ALL ticket prices and donations went to helping a good cause! The stories that these girls told were funny, sad, and very heart wrenching but no matter the emotion that was felt you could feel as if you relate in somehow whether it be through fear of something like that happening to you or the way you had felt about your body at some point in time. This event really shows women that you aren’t the only one who thinks about your vagina in weird ways. I also think that the whole cunt yelling was awesome. Although I did not partake in it myself it definitely made for a good laugh. I enjoyed how the girls presenting the stories showed their emotions by relating them, the best they could, too the women the stories were told from. They all did a wonderful job making you feel as if you were sitting their talking to the ladies that told these stories. The story that touched me the most was about the transvestites. It was very interesting to see how they had set this one up and I think it encourages people to open their eyes to see what is happening to the gay community. I thought that all the ladies who presented did a tremendous job and I definitely plan to go to it again next year. Honestly, I don’t see why more men don’t go to events like this. I feel like it is a very good way for men to see how women truly feel about themselves and how uncomfortably awkward situations can end up being for them. I feel as if this event is a good way for the community to open their eyes to the sexual abuses and assault that happens to women daily! Over all I loved it and the ladies that put it on rocked!
