Have you ever dreamt of becoming a certain someone or something? Without goals, persistence, and effort, you can never accomplish that dream. Many people set up goals for themselves, and they often fail in attaining them. In order to accomplish those goals, you must overcome certain obstacles that keep you from succeeding. Although this can be exceedingly difficult, having the right mood and a lot of determination will help you to a great extent. Inspiration from someone you know can also assist you in completing your objectives. My brother, Arthur, inspires me to overcome the obstacles keeping me from reaching my goals in many ways. One specific inspiring act of his that I have seen would be when he carried my little brother to the hospital when he fell and injured his head. Arthur inspires me because he is the kind of person who does his best to be the best person he can be.

Becoming a doctor has been a goal of mine since I was a child. The main reason I want to succeed in this goal is to have the satisfaction of helping those in need. I consider this to be my most important goal because this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. There will be many obstacles that I have to work through to accomplish this goal. Some examples of the obstacles that I will have to overcome would be getting good scores on exams that I need to take throughout my college career, studying abundantly to pass certain college courses, and staying on task by not getting distracted. These obstacles sound very difficult and overwhelming, but nothing will stop me from achieving my lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.

Another one of my goals is finishing high school with good grades. Although it seems difficult because I am taking advanced courses such as physics, chemistry, and calculus, I am sure by working hard and with complete devotion and concentration to my studies I can make it possible.
