Yoko Taniquchi talks about the effects of using different perspectives in poems. Usually, when we describe any event, we naturally choose the perspective, or view, that we are most familiar with, which is how we observe the specific event originally. Although it makes sure of the truthfulness of the details of the event, it limits the interpretation of the event and ties it to a specific emotion. Sometimes, this habit makes writers feel exhausted, because there is nothing new they can think about using the same perspective over and over again, and the whole process of writing is like coping the former works. To solve this problem, Yoko Taniquchi suggests us to think about the differences between refection and reflexivity, which is in fact the change of perspective. She assigns two activities, the first is to define "beauty" and exchange the definition with someone sitting around, and the second one is to imagine that you are something else, like the ceiling or the sky, and describe an event from that specific perspective. For the first active, I realize that there are huge differences of how different individuals see and interpret a same thing, so when it comes to the second activity, I could positively change my perspective and see an event from a different angle. The result comes out the same with what she says: when observing and describing a event from a different perspective, there are more emotions and details dug out and the whole event becomes more vivid.
