Portakabin uses marketing to drive business by having a detail strategy and plan. They use several proven strategic and unethical marketing ways to gain customers. Portakabin, first narrowed down there marketing plan to focus on two specific areas: To seek new customers and provides exceptional service to retain existing ones. By doing this they are able to focus on a marketing strategy that uses several marketing factors.

2. Explain how Portakabin uses different types of market research, both primary and secondary, and different methods within these.

Portakabin uses two different types of marketing research. First one is the Primary research is first-hand research, such as interviews and focus groups. They are able to get a true sense of what their specific customers and potential customers want. This type is a great way to get a firsthand account of opinions, views and comments. This allows Portakabin to make the necessary changes to their products to satisfy their customers.

Secondary research uses data and information that has already been established. This provides provide market and industry quantitative data, often in the form of statistics. This is a very general way of researching. This type of research, is not specifically for Portakabin but any company this is in this field can use these statistics to get a general idea of what customers want and like.
