The Book of Eli

While destined to protect a sacred book, an isolated man battles his way crosswise post modern civilization to save humankind. Direct by a voice to deliver his print of a rare and coveted book, the Bible, traveling to the West Coast in search of a safe location. Along the way the importance of Eli’s task is illustrated as well as the history of post civilization. An action film directed by the Hughes brothers was released in January 2010. Feature in the film or movie was Denzel Washington as Eli, Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis, Ray Stevenson, and Jennifer Beals were co-stars.

The society we live in right now is resourceful but if we continue to waste what we have the existence of water and food could be scarce. From previous years, the film show that wastefulness led to water being hard to get so it was valued as a high price commodity. The waste of food in the past led to animals such as cats to humans being the source of nutrition for society. Because of lack of trust of one fellow man the film show how disrespectful people can be by not caring of how others died or how others were robbed. Also, we should be more conscious for the sources we have and be more thankful.

Lets start repairing our society by looking out for our fellow man, having more respect for our elders, repair or build homes for the homeless, and visit those who are sick. The admiration of others would lead to a society that is considerate. By having a conscious to care for others, we should be able to learn how to be more appreciative of the well being of our environment.

We can start now by becoming more aware of how we treat our environment by reducing the amount of toxic waste we discard and start recycling for the availability of our sources would not be limited. Going green we can learn how to shift to a green culture and embrace the fact that responsibility of caring for the environment is everyone responsibility.
