Assignment: Time Management Skills

Words: 309

How do you establish priories?

Who makes up your support group?

What is your backup plan in case your computer goes down?

How do you keep track of assignments and due dates?

Time Management is a skill that most young adults have not perfected. In fact, many young adults are horribly failing with this category. Many people will go through middle school and high school without developing these skills.

The first step to effective Time Management is to establish priories. This is what I believe to be the hardest step. What should be your top priority? Work, School, Sleep, Friends? Who knows? This will depend on the person and the way they see life and what’s important. For me, the military has decided my priorities for me. Mission, Wingmen, Self. Which means, do the job first, take care of your fellow US Air Force Members second, and take care of yourself last (education, sleep, self-improvement, etc.).

The next step is to create a support group. Also known as a group of friends, family members, or fellow classmates who are there to help you stay on track.

You should always have a plan in case you do not have access to a computer. My back up plan is to use the computer at work and if that doesn’t work, use the computer at the library.

What is the best way to keep track of assignments and due dates? I keep track of my assignment with my calendar at work. This is a horrible plan. I have been out of office the last couple weeks and have lost track of my assignments for both classes. My reactionary steps for this issue is to have multiple locations which will remind me of assignments. I will have a reminder on my work computer, personal computer, and cell phone.
