Introduction

The population of this world is on an increasing trend. Along to shelter and cleanliness, another basic need is increasing; that is nutrition – food. The agricultural industry has made its advancement but in addition to it, several restaurants and fast food eatery has opened over the years. The food industry has been getting a lot of attention over the years. As people are getting busy with their everyday life, they are increasingly being dependent on businesses selling readymade food products. However, not every consumer would have the same purchasing power as the other consumer. Thus, there are several range and categories of food businesses operating within the industry with minimum to maximum price assortment. The food industry is very large. It consists of local eateries, recently-trending food carts, fast food corners, chain outlets, middle quality restaurants, 5-7 Star restaurants, Micheline Star restaurants. Thus there are many alternatives within the industry itself. However, along with the price, the quality differs. According to the consumers’ view of price to quality ratio the industry consists of many sub-industries. Elite consumers with the preference of fine dining would choose 5-7 Star restaurants or even Micheline Star restaurants (if available in the country).
