Google Case

1. The top things I would look for in a potential job offer were:

* Stability/security;

* Professionalism of the company;

* If it presents or offer a good working environment;

* If the company is well stablished or if we’d be taking a shot in the future;

* I’d try to find out if they would let me use my knowledge, work and skills or they use pre-set rules;

* If there is a good team (interaction); and

* Its payment/compensation/benefits.

2. At first sight, I think Google is a very attractive workplace, especially to the younger ones with all it has to offer and all the alternative working hour and schedule. But, as anything in life, as a person starts to get used to all this, the different becomes usual and now, answering myself, their uncommon way of working would in certain way bother my work. Not that I work common and regular hours, but the work environment would take away my focus. So, no, I probably wouldn’t work there, but we can never say something for sure until we try it.

3. Actually this is a difficult and more personal question to answer since focus and creativity are subjective traits of each individual and how the environment influences on each one is relative. Therefore, to some it may be beneficial while to others an environment such as the one at Google may be distracting.

4. As I mentioned previously, I do think that initially Google’s benefits and perks in a general manner attract employees more than the other traditional companies, but maybe, as time goes by, I think this environment may get a little tiresome for the older ones despite of the benefits and perks, as usually, the majority of people looks for something more regular and stable in their lives. And as presented on the text, Google doesn’t have this stable, regular hours of work.
