A lot of times people think that Muslims and Arabs are one in the same. I was one of the ones that have always thought that Arabs were Muslims and vice versa. But I have found out that is not necessarily true. Muslims are a group of individuals that belong to a religion called Islam, which Muslims are part of a religious sect. I also; found that Muslims can have any native tongues of just about any language in the world. On the other hand Arabs are individuals that abide or own the Arabian or Arab religion. Arabs form an internationally known nationality. Arabs have their own language and can be able to decide what ever religion or faith that they want to follow. In the past two years I think that there really have been almost no changes concerning the policy Muslims or Arabs. But the law does forbid religious discrimination towards Muslims and non-Muslims. But there have been an increase with education about Islam.

Orientalism means a manner of regularized writing, vision, and study, dominated by imperatives, perspectives, and ideological biases. It can imply old fashioned and prejudice from outsider interpretations against Eastern people and their cultures. This is broad topic and debatable that will and can have lots of criticisms. I think that it has no or little effect on hate crimes here in the US. We can teach our children not to be prejudiced. Let people be themselves and knowing that everyone will not have the same views, beliefs nor religion whether we believe in them or not.
