Executive Summary
In today’s highly dynamic, fast-paced business climate, managers who pay close attention to technological trends are better able to position their organizations to perform at the highest levels. Those managers who do not run the risk of getting left behind. Research shows that one such trend that is gaining momentum is the proliferation of online social networking in organizations, and the vast benefits they provide. However, many are still hesitant to adopt these tools into their business processes. This paper sets out to assist managers by demonstrating the various ways that organizations have leveraged online social networks and by providing research that shows how online social networks can increase customer satisfaction, flexibility and productivity.
