2.0 Recruitment, Placement and Talent Management

Recruitment is the procedure of selecting and attempting to attract candidates who are capable to fill up the job vacancies effectively. Recruiting can be conducted both internally and externally followed by job description and job specifications of the organization (Study.com, 2003-2015).

Placement is a system of given a particular employment to each of the chosen applicants; the candidate’s profile is commensurate with the requirements of a job. (Indian way, 2008)

Talent management is the mission-oriented and incorporated procedure of recruiting, arranging, managing, developing and remunerating workers. (Pearson Education, 2013)

2.1 Internal and external of Recruitment in Nestle

Human resource management promulgates several recruitment theories during internal and external recruitment. They should be familiar on what selection criteria a candidate make during selection of firm. This is an important way for an organization to attract potential and talented candidates to work in their firm.

2.1.1 Internal recruitment

Internal recruitment refers to filling up the job vacancy from internal unit to select the most suitable candidates in order to replace or fill in a position. Internal recruitment offered by Nestle gives several advantages to the organization such as reduction of the cost of vacancy advertisements, generating the potential applicants who are well known to the firm in a way to minimize the possibility of inflated expectations of the job thereby making the process of filling up vacancies much easier (Raymond, 2012).

2.1.2 External Recruitment

External recruitment is based on the fundamental standards in recruitment and development in Nestle where the candidate must need to adjust his professional background and characteristics with regards to the advantages of organization for the long term career development planning.
