To me a word “Fair” means a lot. Being an alien in a County like US is a proud feeling as the country itself is Fair to all people. According to me Fair is treating everyone equally without any racism and favoritism. In another words being free from bias and cruelty is called Fair. Freedom is another word that connected to a word Fair. Who don’t like freedom? Each and every person lives on this earth need freedom. Freedom of being treated equally, freedom of choosing or electing their own president to run the country, freedom of having equal right no matter what class you belong to. One of the clause from Declaration of Independence relates to the same idea of freedom, which is “men should not be subject to the hierarchy that the foundation for a monarchical government such as the one that England had used unsuccessfully with the colonists in the new world.” Also Jefferson wrote about the freedom of religion in the Declaration of Independence, which was a core idea that made the basis of republican society work, via separation of church and state. Basically Jefferson set the trend for freedom in his writing of Declaration of Independence to give everyone a fair chance to be whoever they wanted to be regardless of race, creed or religion, which was officially declared on July 4th 1776 (our Independence Day). There are three main important documents on freedom, they are: (1) The Declaration of Independence, (2) The Constitution, (3) The US Bill of Rights. By this day I was wondering what was being wrong at the time of Great Britain that Continental Congress has decided to draft a Declaration of Independence. After reading the whole document I came to know that it was being unfair to people how the Great Britain was treating their colonists. Colonists were upset with their own government as they have been treated as aliens.
