INTRODUCTION

Background of the Project

Recent advances in technology are driving a demand for new modes of interaction with new media. This trend has led to the common reference of all ages (Prensky, 2001).

Human seems to learn more deeply and more inequitably, since they have grown up fully immersed in digital technologies. A great number of people spend much time on playing online games and browsing on the web just to play games. In tandem with the exponential growth of technology literacy, there has been a proliferation of research and an exposure of playing video games (Hammer and Black, 2009). Yet there is a small body of work that is currently being conducted that explores the use of creating video games as production tools.

Video game is such a popular and influential medium for combinations of many factors. These are any of the various interactive games played using a specialized electronic gaming device like android phones. They are made up of a program that instructs the computer to display specific visual and audio effects. Video games are package in large consoles, game packs that can only be played on the same manufacturer’s hardware which include Nintendo, Sony PlayStation and Sega Genesis. According to University of Wisconsin psychologist C. Shawn Green, video games can change your brain. It can change the brain’s physical structure the same way as learning to read, playing the piano or navigating using a map. It also helps to improve quick thinking, strategy and anticipation, situational awareness, estimating skills, concentration, simulation and real world skills.

After the huge impact of video games to most of the people, it has been integrated to a new technological device. This is called the Mobile Phones running on Android OS or simply Android Phones.
