CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Internet café is one of most popular business here in Las Piñas City. It is important to all people especially to the students who want to explore the real world. The popularity of this business really affects the fast changing and growing technology. Through the use of the technology, our country soon would become one of the progressive and innovative countries in the world. Due to the growing demand for computer shop, we proposed to enter into this type of business which is Computer Shop.

The official name of our shop would be, GIG-A-BYTES, it is a computer terminology which means the quantity of memory with a tag line of, “Have the “BYTES” of the best.” Our shop will offer an extraordinary services and fast internet access to our valued customers. We will assure that our customer will get what they need and want that will meet their expectations.

The location of our business would be located at Admiral Road, Barangay Talon Tres, Las Piñas City. The floor area is about 50 sq. meters which can accommodate 20 persons. The power supply would be generated by MERALCO.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

❖ Gain market acceptance and analyzed the feasibility of this study throughout the entire Barangay Talon Tres, Admiral, Las Piñas City.

❖ Establish loyal customer base and become the new selected computer shop in the area.

THE OFFICIAL BUSINESS LOGO

The official business logo symbolized by a monitor of a computer with a letter “G” which stands for our company name. The arrow represents the fast internet access that is our competitive edge.

OPERATIONAL DEFINITION OF TERMS:

Access time. The performance of a hard drive or other storage device - how long it takes to locate a file.
