Statement of the Problem

EDS an Electronic Data Systems firm has some problems in finding the best procedures for the merging and underwriting abilities. EDS, a big worldwide consulting firm, wants to help A.T. Kearney, hope to corner the market in technology services for its clients a bring stiff competition for its competitors. It needs to be addressed to the firms who can find present and future clients.

Statement of Facts

EDS acquired A.T. Kearney consulting organization. A. T. Kearney is one of the largest and mostly successful administration counseling firms. The merger cost EDS over 600 million procurement back in 2005. The merger took place during a period when it was an influx of dynamic development and improvement in the administration counseling industry. The fastest development portion was in “data engineering and procedure reengineering,” (p 525) from 1994. This showed a big part of the $40 billion in expenses. CEO Fred Steingraber at A. T. Kearney absorbed those charges in the administration counseling industry by the year 2000. That absorption was a great part of the implementing design in order to get more skills and knowledge and be successful in market around the world. This was needed for leverage with its competitors. Another problem that emerged in acquisition was the numerous organizations couldn’t account for such expenses that lead to the staff deficiencies.
