Entrepreneurial Leadership

This paper will discuss the common elements described in the theories/philosophies of Case, Kouzes, and Drucker including how their principles/strategies relate to the new definition of entrepreneurial leadership presented in Understanding Entrepreneurial Leadership in today’s Dynamic Markets. It will discuss my leadership style and how it compares to transactional, transformation, visionary, charismatic, principled, and entrepreneurial leadership. As a new entrepreneur, this paper will discuss how I would use resources and tools available through the Small Business Administration and SCORE. It will also explain; my personal principles of leadership, what they would be and why I chose them.

Discuss the Common Elements Described in the Theories/Philosophies of Case, Kouzes, and Drucker Including How Their Principles/Strategies Relate to the New Definition of Entrepreneurial Leadership Presented in Understanding Entrepreneurial Leadership in Today’s Dynamic Markets.

The common element that Case, Kouzes, and Drucker have in common is innovation. When reading and listening to these videos and articles they all mention the role that innovation has in our future and how their principles/strategies play a part in it. Steve Case believes that entrepreneurship is critical in this country because it will get our nation back on track. So, in order to succeed in being an entrepreneur you have three P’s that have to be incorporated; 1) People because the right people need to be aligned around the right priorities; 2) Passion because there has to be that underlying passion not just from the CEO but from the whole company; 3) Perseverance because when times get tough you have to have the fortitude to see it through. If we keep these three P’s in balance anything is possible. Kouzes focuses more on leadership. He believes that the best leaders motivate and there are five exemplary practices of leadership.
