We stand seven years past a millennium, nearly fifty years since we put a person on the moon, and ever-countless years past every tragedy that has expressed itself on mankind. The question now is where do we stand, it is easy to understand these records on a timeline, and even easier when they are taught in a manner that makes them seem like these catastrophe and triumphs happen in a another time, and yet sometimes they feel like they happen in a different world.

I ask myself when I am long gone and there is nothing left of my but a fact and a few thoughts, how will I be remembered, will people remember me for my name, or maybe the achievements that I attained, or will all that remains of who and what I was be forgotten.

This is a fear I have, and I am not afraid to share it. It was this single unease I have along with a strong idealistic nature that makes me hurt, and what really happens then is something I believe I share with everyone, and that is a feeling of disappointment.

All along I have struggled to be remembered, and there was not a piece of satisfaction that came along with any satisfying goal that was achieved, ambition that was conquered, aspiration that was met. Then I realized why this wasn’t because no mans achievement can feel successful until truly it has changed the world.

The world we live into is much too large for one man, nation, or alliance to solve. It takes a change in thinking and understanding for all people in order to achieve what some people, good and bad alike, call overly idealistic.
