Learning insights

on the job training is an active participatory approach with an emphasis on “learning by doing”. This reflects the demand to be professional in your chosen field of specialization , the ability to act in the face of change, the versality to work in multifunctional teams and the adaptibility to face the challenges and great responsibilities of a global environment. These competencies are consistently place in a real-life situations and force to think and work hard and assume greater responsibility.

My training at Villa Blanca is a very challenging part of my life as a student. I learned a lot of things and boost my confidence in dealing with other people. It mouls me to become more responsible as an individual. It develop my skills and knowledge regarding my chosen field of specialization.

Experiencing to be in a real-life situation in my chosen field is a stepping stone for me in the future. It makes me realize that in order to survive with your daily needs, you need to work hard. You have to work with dignity, dedication and with discipline in order to become successful.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Paper qualifications are no substitute for real-life experiences. Experience is the best teacher , it molds and affect the totality of your whole being. The incorporation of practical work experience, formal training, and support by career development advisors provides me with the unique opportunity to develop and assume challenging responsibility within the hospitality industry.

Reminiscing the past, I can still remember the very first day of my duty, I woke up early . It was a mixed emotion of excitement, fear and nervousness. My very first time to work in a establishment brought me this mixed emotions. I had a hard time in dealing with other people but through this on the job training, I learned to become more confident.
