Alice Guillen

Alice Navarette Guillen, a resident of Porterville, died there Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003. She was 64.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at Whitehurst Loyd Funeral Chapel in Porterville. A remembrance service will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Whitehurst Loyd Chapel. A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Whitehurst Loyd Chapel with the Rev. Brian Wells of Grace Fellowship in Porterville officiating. Interment will take place at Woodville Cemetery.

Mrs. Guillen was a native of Carlsbad, Mexico, and a resident of Porterville for 61 years, previously of Hanford.

She was a produce saleswoman for 20 years. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Porterville.

Survivors include five sons, Carlos Estrella Jr., of Corcoran, Jose Estrella of Hanford, Ricky Estrella of Porterville, David Estrella of Hanford and Gilbert Guillen of Porterville; two daughters, Bertha Estrella and Gloria Wells, both of Porterville; two brothers, Johnny Navarette of Porterville and Frank Navarette of Woodville; six sisters, Ofelia Alvarado of Woodville, Adama Velasquez of New Mexico, Sally Lomeli, Hortencia Morales, Mary Cabrera and Susie Olmedo, all of Porterville; her mother, Maria Navarette of Woodville; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Guillen was preceded in death by her daughters, Rosalinda Estrella and Virginia Estrella Carrosco; her brothers, Manuel and Cequin Navarette; and her sisters, Betty Navarette, Janie Leon, Emma Flores and Virginia Perez.
