Learning Objective:
● Computer applications in financial sector play key role not only in decision making but in structuring of the market itself. One of the challenges for the market is to organize data which can be used for pattern recognition by using various computer software available to managers.
● Main objective of this course is to appraise the students of advanced analytical tools available in EXCEL and SAS Enterprise Guide for data analysis.
Teaching Methodology:
The course would be conducted in the Mock Trading Room and apart from providing hand-on experience on MS Excel and SAS Enterprise Guide to students. Students will have group assignments as well as class assignments using high frequency market data in this course.
Evaluation Criteria:
External Examination (Theory and Practical for 2 hours) : 50%
Assignments : 15%
Class Participation : 10%
Major Projects : 25%
Total : 100%
