Speculations of the future
Since the beginning, the world has seen many ages such as the
Stone age;
Agricultural age;
and the technological age (internet, international communication) in which we are living today…
But are we going to witness a new age?
The answer is yes…
With reference to the latest discoveries, research outcomes and global trends; the main predictions are:
1. China emerging as a superpower
2. Decarbonisation as a reality to solve the problem of industrialisation
Now let’s understand the first speculation, which is China evolving as an economic & political Superpower.
As Napoleon de Bonaparte predicted,
When China awakes, it will shake the world.
Indeed, China is now the workshop of the world as England was after World War II
It’s the first time in history China is driving the engine global economic growth
Hence, in coming years we’ll see the yuan (Chinese currency) replacing the US dollar as the world currency;
China will be seen as one of the world military powers
Similarly, a lot of people, especially business persons will start learning Mandarin or Cantonese;
The proliferation of Chinese vehicles – far and far less vehicles from Japan & Europe
Now let’s consider the second main prediction which is Decarbonisation.
Due to irresponsible industrialisation, especially among the developed nations (USA and Europe) and the Asian giants: China and India the world temperature is expected to increase by 20 C by 2050,
What will be the tangible impact of global warming?
Disappearance of some low-level islands (especially those around Australia) will be observed.
There will be more days without rain; and more days with excessively more rainfall – droughts, floods, tsunamis
Migration of animals (birds moving from one continent to the other, animals (elephants, lions moving upland- mountains)
Business mission statement will include green policy
