BAT currently possess 13% of the global tobacco market share after Philip Morris International’s 16%. BAT currently has 49cigraettes factories in operations across the 41 countries of the world. BAT has a diverse portfolio of 300 brands which consists of its 4 premium brands (Kent, Dunhill, Lucky Strike and Pall Mall) which are sold in more than 180 countries of the world. However apart from readymade cigarettes BAT’s portfolio also includes various type of other products like cigars, roll-your-own and pipe tobacco.
Unlike other companies BAT operates under heavy rules and regulations and a strict code of conduct especially across the USA and EU regions and thus uses a very unique style of marketing its brands, which are yet very effective and have contributed significantly towards the growth of BAT in recent years.
