Windows to the Universe, is an interactive website that covers the atmosphere as a whole, as well as the vast many subtopics that direct relate to functions of the atmosphere. Some of these subtopics include: weather, climate, and air pollution. The site also features games, photographs, and an online store for you to purchase additional information on the inner workings of the atmosphere. Additionally, there are several interactive activities which feature games, pictures, and stories that combine education and fun. There is also a section devoted to culture, which list a series of books, movies, and paintings which included the atmosphere. Lastly, the websites features an “ask a scientist” section, which not only allows users to post their own questions, but enables them to view the questions posted from other users as well.

Based on given information, the site seems to be very credible. The information was posted by the National Earth Science Teachers Association (NESTA), who have also partnered with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) as well as The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR). These three groups combined provides the site with the credibility it needs. By merely providing definition of various subjects, this site matches up with the information provided in the text book as well as other websites. The only reason this site would lack any academic credibility is because of the year it was updated. The site hasn’t been modified since 2010. The news articles are dated six years, as well as information regarding the ozone hole and air pollution, which means in order to get accurate information, you have to go to another website.
