Belladonna

After watching the Primetime special featuring Belladona, the porn star my thoughts on pornography are worse than before. I feel that no one should ever have to resort to a job like that. I, myself, would rather be broke and have nothing than to act out what she had to. I feel really bad for her because the lifestyle she had growing up was probably not that great. She was probably abused by some close family member, which ruined her forever. I can’t even begin to imagine having a lifestyle like her. I am truly grateful to have a loving and caring family that is willing to help me out when I am in trouble.

I think that pornography is completely disgusting. I do not see the interest in it at all. I think the people that work in the industry have something wrong with them. They see how these girls are getting treated and nothing in them is helping them stop. I feel like doing something like porn could be considered an addition. The main draw-in is the money. Just as we talked about in class, some people see it as doing something they love and getting paid for it. I am more considered about my morals and values as a person that I don’t think I could ever resort to that. I feel that the way you bring yourself up is completely how you should be treated. If people have no respect for themselves what is the point giving it back to them?

I was reading online after I watched this in class that Michelle commented on the interview and said she that they portrayed her in a way that she wasn’t at all. She said that she wouldn’t do a follow up interview because she didn’t want to get embarrassed again. I feel she said this because when she went back into the porn world they said a lot of nasty things about her. I bet she didn’t want to feel “not loved” again so she went back to the only thing she knew about love.
