1) Introduction:

The word cognition is a term used to include various tasks that include memory, language, orientation, judgment, planning, problem-solving, ability to have interpersonal relationships and perform actions. When there are a disruption in a person’s daily functioning due to a regular problem in one of these areas, it may be due to a Neurocognitive disorder. These disruptions in a person’s cognition can be a result of many causes. These include head injuries, a medical condition and the misuse or abuse of substances. Age can also play a very defining role and can also cause cognitive problems for instance Alzheimer’s disease. (Burke, 2012).
