Business Report

Executive Summary

It has recently come to my concern that Michael and Albert is a long established department store selling men’s and ladies fashion, homewares, outdoor goods, books and CD’s, kitchenware and furniture has had substantial problems.Ten years ago this business was Australia’s largest retail seller, but recently there have been concerns expressed about the future of the business. These problems include:

A substantial drop in sales revenue and profit

Reports from branch managers that fewer customers are patronising their stores

Complaints from customers about rude sales staff, who do not know much about the products they are selling

Lack of morale in management staff, assistant managers, store managers, department managers and sales staff.
