Hello everyone,

First of all, thank you all for joining us tonight as we celebrate the commencement of this beautiful journey called marriage that Claudia and Eric are about to take on.

For those of you all that do not know, I am Danielle, Claudia’s best friend. We first met about seven years ago in basic training and have been inseparable ever since. Some of you all are probably thinking that seven years is not very long but, trust me, when you spend every single day with someone that likes to talk as much as Claudia then seven years seems like an eternity! As we have grown older, she has become one of the most important people in my life. Years of going through major life events together as best friends. From our rambunctious 20 year old party animal days, to our back to back deployments between Iraq and Afghanistan, from promotions, marriages, to the birth of my son, we have been there for each other through our highest moments in life to our lowest.

To anyone that knows Claudia, knows exactly what type of woman she is, loving, caring, loyal, brave, and all around one of the most beautiful, yet humble individuals inside and out. That is exactly why she has so much love here tonight to help her celebrate this special milestone in her life.

When Eric came into her life he only amplified those characteristics. I cannot speak on how Eric was before they met, but I as for Clau, I have seen her grow within the relationship. She is more confident and happier, full of life as most would say. The special bond that these two share is unimaginable. It is not impossible to see the love and respect these two have for one another.

And Eric, even though my best friend has officially abandoned me, I could not be happier to know that you are the one she chose to spend the rest of her life with. A true southern gentleman, thank you for loving and treating my sister the way you do. Oh, and Eric, just remember to always say those three special words to her every night… YOU ARE...
