As I am sure you all have heard our company will, in the near future, merger with EnviroTech. This merger will allow our company to evolve, improve and expand to offer current and future clients environmentally safe solutions and services. We, as managers, have the responsibility of representing the company and leading our teams to work within their full potential, which will allow our company to be successful in this endeavor. To achieve this goal it is important that we each understand how, as managers, our behavior can impact the productivity of company workers, type of management actions that are in line with employment laws and those that are not, and some of the best practices for working within a diverse work environment.

How a Manager’s Behavior Can Impact the Productivity of Workers

The company’s employees is the most important asset we have, and it is our responsibility, as managers, to manage, develop, and help each employee reach their full potential for maximum effectiveness. It is important that we understand that although no two employees are exactly alike and differs physically and psychologically from the next person; our behavior influences the actions and behavior of each worker and therefore has a tremendous impact on productivity. We know that respectful behavior has positive results, but we also must remember that rudeness and disrespect produces negative results, and therefore reduces the bottom line. Staffing, retention, development, adjustment, and managing change are all areas of managing the work force.
