Required Much?

Completing the general education requirements for college should not be an option. Having to complete certain classes in order to advance into a certain degree is completely understandable and reasonable. Not only do these requirements help keep a student on track but they will acquire enough knowledge to later on continue into a higher degree. Also, General Education requirements are not only a requirement but a way for students to prepare themselves for what the future has in store for them.

When students enroll and begin attending college, they seem to have the mentality and idea that al these required classes will be easy to complete and without a struggle. Many do not take this seriously and even take it as a joke. As time goes by, these students will begin to take on their responsibility and learn that nothing in life is easy. As long as there is some type of dedication put in their work, they will be disciplined enough to complete anything they set their mind to. These required classes have a little bit of everything, from math, to reading, and even health. Once students complete these classes, not only will they prove to themselves that everything is possible, but that if they completed these required classes, all the others will e much easier to pass as well.

Once the general requirements are completed, it is time to continue on with the last chapter of this long journey of education. Not only will the classes begin to get more difficult, but they will need more effort, discipline and responsibility. I believe the general education requirements will prepare you for the hardest part of obtaining a degree.

If you think about it, all these requirements that at one point seem useless, will in the long run pay off. Not only by keeping the student on track, but also by preparing them for requirements that the next school may have. With determination anything is possible, and we all...
