Customer Wants/Opportunity Recognition

Dealing with Children is such a fragile encounter. They are like sponges that watch and retain all actions or moves you make. If you want your children to eat right, exercise, study hard in school and be polite to others, then of course we want to instill these values by showing kids with leading by example. So we cook meals, ride bikes, read books and take care of brushing our teeth. As adults, visiting the dentist is recommended twice a year; so naturally children must go see the Dentist also. In the dental market out there; parents, children and kids want anything they encounter to be as pleasant as possible. Rightly so, the challenge exists to fill this void of going to the dentist that encompasses a pleasant atmosphere, innovative dental tools and a comforting nature. The old traditions of the dental office have been revamped dramatically over the years with innovative new waiting rooms, machines and props in facilitating smoother procedures. Each generation is presented with a challenge to one up the previous generation in providing the utmost pinnacle of customer service. No more evident is this then in Dentistry and more specifically the dental prop.

What Methods were used?

For years when you heard the word dentist, the first image that comes to your mind is a masked man with tweezers larger than your head coming at you. People constantly avoid the dentist for many reasons. Perhaps the major reason is a bad experience as a child. For many years dentists would have their plain, painted white dental waiting rooms with magazines scattered all over the tables or in bin holders on the wall. The waiting is filled with a dull quiet atmosphere of machines working behind the doors, drilling and pounding into ones mouth. Then it is your turn, you sit in the chair and this beast of a man pulls out this ungodly tweezers that have no chance of fitting into your mouth.
