1. From the table, the three observations about RFC, s financial performance relative to its competition are as follows: Gross profit, Total expenses, and Net income. We can conclude that RFC financial performance trends from 2004-2007 was flat annual net income this was due to moderate business strategy. This was also experience by O’Malley’s Fitness Center. Constant Fitness and Day Spa both experienced decreased annual net income due to expansion while Hard Body Gyms and Muscle Menia both experienced 5% growth in net income.

HR practices, policies, procedure, and handbook should be first task for Lori because RFC should maintain objectivity and create a diverse workforce that is well respected and engaged. I strongly believe that training and development should come second on the list because most of problems are associated with poor customer service. With an appropriate training tools and techniques in place, supervisors and managers will produce a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. Next, Lori should come up with clear and timely information on key metrics such as turnover and retention, position vacancy rate, cost per hire, and policy exception.
