The company is one of the Europe’s soft drink companies, with an enviable portfolio of market leading brands, such as Robinsons, J2O, Fruit Shoot, Tango and drench in GB, MiWadi, Club and Ballygowan in Ireland, and Teisseire, Fruite and Pressade in France. 

The company manufactures and markets bottled juices, carbonated and still beverages, sports drinks, mixers, and bottled water, which are available in the UK as well as internationally. Second only to The Coca-Cola Company in volume sales in Britain and Ireland, Britvic's brands include Britvic, drench, J20, Robinsons, and Tango. The company also has a licensing agreement with PepsiCo to bottle and distribute Pepsi and 7Up brands in the UK through 2026.

Jones,M (2006:p510) states that:” The business need to be aware of its competitors and the competitive environment in which it operates. Both customers and suppliers have potential power over a business”. So the business need pursue policies and projects that create high quality goods to obtain a high revenue and to sell at high prices in the market. As every business in the uk the recession has affected Britvic company, as the recession changed the way people shop and socialise, it made them saving by shopping around more and going out less. Even the economy improved slightly in 2010, falling levels of unsured jobs and job cuts forced many consumers to save more and spend less.

Also rising prices is one of the key issues, which has affected Britvic, as according to Britvic overview report: “consumer confidence fell for two consecutive quarters”, therefore many consumers refocused their efforts on saving money, visiting more grocery outlets to search for the best deals and opting to stay in more.
