Functions of management paper

For a company to work effectively, the company has to set goals and objectives. The company has to know the answer to four questions: What is their purpose? Which is at Tender care, the purpose is to provide the ill and elderly with excellent health care and safely. The second question is where is the company going in the future? As well as proving resident with safe and excellent health care, but at the same time trying to improve the safety and improve their excellent health care and the way they care for residents too make them more comfortable etc. The third question is how does the company do this? The company to start with has to figure out any challenges that they may have and if their plan is worth continuing. The fourth function is How do we as the company get their? Which plan that they have come up with should they use to reach their goals? The above four functions of management will allow the company to better set and reach these goals.

The first function a company needs to complete is the planning function; this is what everything else will be based on. How good the plan is will decide how efficient and effective the company will be and help decide what strategies need to be used. Planning is setting goals and deciding how to reach them. Putting in place goals and coming up with them assists in the company to move in a set path while operating in an effective yet efficient way (Planer and Thomas, 2006).

To the nursing home planning is vital. Due to fact the company is in a regulated industry, large changes take time to implement and cannot be done quickly. The changes also often have to approve. Long term planning as well as strategic planning methods used at the nursing home. To put in place changes you may need a lot of documentation to show the reasons for changes.
